Perennial mustard is a perennial herbaceous plant native to the coasts of north-eastern Europe.
Leaves and young shoots are edible and recall the taste of kale and of mustard, as well as being pleasantly spicy. Young foliage is generally eaten fresh, while older leaves can be cooked and prepared like spinach. The root of Lepidium latifolium is also edible and curiously resembles that of watercress in taste.
White flowers occour during summer.
