Zenzero tailandese – Alpinia galanga

Botanical name: Alpinia officinarum

Galangal or Alpinia galanga is a herbaceous rhizomatous with glossy green, lanceolate foliage native to South East Asia.

The flowers are white with reddish veins are worn in the ear to the center of the plant.

Known in Thailand as Khaa, is used for seasoning dishes, pungent smell and taste sweet.
