Botanical name: Wasabi
Wasabi, commonly known as "wasabi", is an herbaceous perennial native to Japan, where it grows wild in the mountains near rivers.
It is precisely from the rhizome of this plant that is derived the famous spicy green paste known as "wasabi", used in Japanese cooking and widely appreciated in the world. This variety can also be eaten in salad leaves and stems, which serve also as wonderful decoration.
Wasabi does not like direct sunlight. We recommend therefore to prefer a dwelling in the shade.
