Botanical name: Valerian supine position

Endemism in the Eastern Alps, Valerian is supine spontaneusly from Lombardy to Friuli.

The plant grows on limestone cliffs, reaching a maximum 10-15 cm high.

The root, as with the other species belonging to the genus Valerian, can be used for infusions and decoctions sedative purposes.
