Botanical name: Thymus serpyllum

Popular in Europe and Africa, Thymus serpyllum is an herbaceous species of thyme from groundcover habit.

Sturdy, fragrant variety, the spring flowering lilac in colour.

Great to use in the kitchen in place of Thymus vulgaris, its aroma is ideal for seasoning meat, fish and vegetables.
