Botanical name: Thymus herba-barona
Species endemic to the islands of Corsica and Sardinia, Thymus herba-barona is a variety of thyme from development groundcover. The plant mainly expands in breadth and is therefore ideal for borders.
The foliage of the plant stands out for its pleasant aroma, which reminds one of cumin, and lends itself as aromatic addition in meat dishes and game.
The bloom of Thymus herba-barona is pink and makes its appearance to late spring, and lasted until the summer.
