Timo capocchiuto

Botanical name: Thymus capitatus

Thymus capitatus is characterized by shrubby and strongly aromatic foliage.

Also commonly referred to as "timo capocchiuto", this bushy variety of thyme tends to reach the 20-30 cm high and is used in herbal medicine both in the kitchen.

Species endemic to the Mediterranean basin, it stands out for its high rusticity.

Pink or lilac flowering makes its appearance in early summer.
