Botanical name: Lippia alba

Lippia alba is a spontaneous shrubby species in Central America, Caribbean and Texas.

Cultivated in the place of origin as an ornamental plant for the aromatic foliage and delicate pinkish-white flowering, the leaves of Lippia alba are also used in cooking to flavor sauces and vegetables.

Note on the premises as the plant drugs, an infusion of leaves of Lippia alba is consumed to alleviate stomach aches and spasms.
