Clary Sage, also known as "Clary", is a herbaceous biennial plant *, spontaneous in southern Europe and southern Syria.

This Sage is characterized by its broad leaves, tomentose and wrinkled, and a lasting flowering of lilac color.

Clary Sage leaves are great fresh plucked and fried. They can also be used, both fresh and dried, either to give aroma to meat dishes.

* Although this variety is classified as a biennial, the plant is able to self-reproduce by seed.
