Botanical name: Eriocephalus africanus

Eriocephalus africanus is a shrub endemic to South Africa.

The aromatic foliage is initially green and tends to progressively become gray-green woolly texture, acquiring. The bloom is white.

In traditional medicine Eriocephalus africanus is used as a medicinal plant. This perennial is also used to flavor meat and fish dishes.
