Botanical name: Apium repens

Apium repens is a perennial species endemic to the European area.

The plant, particularly fond of moist soil, characterized by rampant development. Under these conditions, it can spread very easily, creating a dense vegetation.

Although membership in the genus Apium, the foliage of the plant recalls the flavor of parsley, clearly perceptible wiping a part. Leaves and stems are an ideal substitute, although milder, parsley scented and can be used in cooking to flavour dishes.

The bloom makes an appearance in summer and is characterized by small umbrella shaped inflorescences typical.
