Apium repens is a perennial species endemic to the European area.
The plant, particularly fond of moist soil, characterized by rampant development. Under these conditions, it can spread very easily, creating a dense vegetation.
Although membership in the genus Apium, the foliage of the plant recalls the flavor of parsley, clearly perceptible wiping a part. Leaves and stems are an ideal substitute, although milder, parsley scented and can be used in cooking to flavour dishes.
