Moringa asiatica

Botanical name: Moringa oleifera

Moringa oleifera was born in the foothills of the Himalayas. In the United States have long been considered an excellent food supplement, Moringa is a real source of vitamins, minerals, flavonoids and antioxidants. Among the substances contained it is interesting to mention the plant hormone Zeatin. It plays an interesting antioxidant function and is used in the cosmetic industry to enhance cell regeneration and skin aging.

In the traditional medicine are also several jobs as a healing plant for example, if you have high blood pressure, insomnia and diabetes.

Moringa leaves are great in the kitchen, either eaten raw and slightly cooked or steamed, in addition to soups, omelets and sauces. Even the beautiful cream coloured flowers taste similar to peanuts are edible and delicious in salads.
