Botanical name: Clinopodium ascendens

Clinopodium ascendens, commonly known as "Roman" or "lesser calamint mint", is an herbaceous perennial plant of Central and southern Europe and widespread spontaneous State in Italy.

The crushed leaves have a flavor similar to that of mint and are used to flavor meat, fish, vegetables and mushrooms.
