Menta del Teide

Botanical name: Mentha longifolia teidea

Mentha longifolia teidea is a herbaceous perennial, endemic in Teide National Park area. Although this is an arid territory, this variety of mint, from short stalks and silvery-green foliage, is a hydrophilic species, settled in wetlands or close to sources.

The leaves can be used to flavor desserts, ice cream and fruit salads, as well as for the realization of refreshing teas and infusions.
