Botanical name: Marrubium vulgare

Marrubium vulgare is an herbaceous perennial brought spontaneous State in Mediterranean countries.

This plant was once widely known in folk medicine as curative of many respiratory diseases. Bitter leaves were also used as a condiment and in beer. The essential oil of the plant is still used in liqueur.
