Botanical name: Hypericum perforatum

St John's wort is an herbaceous perennial native to the British Isles.

Also known as "Wort" since the plant reaches peak bloom on June 24 which is the day of Saint John, Hypericum perforatum is well-known in popular usage for John's wort oil, which was used for cleaning wounds, the care of burns and wounds.
