St. Peter's grass is an edible herb with a very intense aroma, with notes of mint and bitter aftertaste.

In the kitchen it has been expertly used for years to flavor fillings, sauces, omelettes and game.

Used in the medival times in treatment of women's diseases. It was originally a brewing ingredient instead of hops in the process of beer making. Still in use today. In Italy its leaves are used to flavour salads, soups, eggs and the famous Tortello amaro di Castel Goffredo, a filled fresh pasta typical of the city of Mantova.

Hardy and resistant to cold, you can plant it without problems in the garden or in the vegetable garden.
