Botanical name: Bunium bulbocastanum

Bunium bulbocastanum is an herbaceous perennial from upright.

The plant, entirely edible, is widely used in Asian cuisine. Small roots, tubers are eaten raw or cooked and their flavor resembles curiously what chestnuts. The leaves are also used as substitute for parsley to flavor or garnish the dishes. Even the dried seeds are very popular in Indian cuisine.
