Basilico nero

Botanical name: Ocimum basilicum x sp.

A rather curious variety of Basil Basil is black, so named for the purplish color of its foliage.

Herbaceous perennial, aromatic Basil is ideal for use as a black in the kitchen to create a great pesto or to flavour dishes, especially red sauces.
