Botanical name: Artemisia cretacea

Robust and aromatic foliage suffrutex tomentose Artemisia cretacea is endemic to Italian, located in Emilia Romagna, Tuscany and neighboring regions of Central.

This species has adapted to earthen clay, and Cretaceous soils rich in sodium salts, resisting erosion and opposing the Badlands progress by means of long roots.

At one time, it was the custom of peasants romagnoli use its branches to flavor the sheep's milk cheeses.
