Botanical name: Angelica gigas

Originally from China, Japan and Korea, Angelica gigas is a biennial * commonly called "Korean angelica".

The plant develops a robust structure and is characterized by the spectacular blooming of purple that makes its appearance towards the end of summer.

The roots of this species are used in traditional Chinese medicine.

* Although this variety is classified as a biennial, the plant is able to self-reproduce by seed.
