Tulbaghia violacea ' Alba ' is an herbaceous plant native to South Africa and belonging to the family of Alliaceae.
Caespitose perennial habit, it has narrow leaves and elongated and produces, all summer until late autumn, stems that bear on top of a bunch of flowers fragrant, white starred. It is the white flowered variety of the species t. violacea, typically light purple flower.
Leaves and flowers of Tulbaghia are an intense aroma of garlic and can be used to flavor soups and salads of all kinds.
The plant acts as a mild mosquito repellant.
